Wortknall is a free word game for learning German. Playing it means agreeing to this. It is short because there is not more to say.

The game

Wortknall costs nothing, shows no advertising and sells nothing. Two people run it in their spare time, so it can go down, change, or stop. No availability is promised.

Your account

• A username belongs to exactly one account. Your display name you can change as often as you like.
• Do not pass yourself off as somebody else.
• What happens through your account is your responsibility.

Each other

Real people sit in the chat and the voice channel, many of them beginners. No insults, no harassment, no hate, no advertising. Anyone who cannot manage that is removed.

Fair play

Ranked is only worth anything while it is honest. So:

• no scripts, no bots, no helper that finds words for you
• no arranged results and no pushing each other up the ladder
• no second account to play against yourself

The game notices some of this by itself and counts those results for less. Ratings may be corrected or reset.

Where the words come from

The German word list comes from the free igerman98 dictionary, and the meanings from the Ding dictionary of TU Chemnitz. Both are owed the credit; mistakes in what we made of them are ours, not theirs.

Changes

If anything here changes, it will say so here. Carrying on playing means you accept it.
