What we store
Updated: 26 September 2026
Wortknall does not live off data, so it collects as little as it can. No advertising, no analytics, no trackers, nothing goes to anyone else. This page says exactly what is kept, what for, and how you get rid of it.
In short
- Without signing in, nothing about you is stored.
- No advertising, no trackers, no selling of data.
- You can delete your account and all its data yourself at any time.
1Without an account
You can play without signing in. Then nothing about you is stored. The name you type in multiplayer lives only as long as the room does.
2What signing in gives us
If you sign in with Google or Discord we receive exactly three things:
- an identifier, so we recognise you next time
- your name there, offered as your display name
- the address of your profile picture
Google also shows us your email address while you sign in. It is only compared, to check whether the account belongs to the operator, and then dropped, never stored. We never see your password.
3What the game stores
- display name, username and your profile picture, including one you uploaded
- level, experience, daily streak, rating, games, wins and your recent games
- the words you discovered, for your word book and flash cards
- gems, what you bought in the shop, and your stickers
- your friends and open requests
- reports you send about other players
- who you recently played in ranked, so nobody can push each other up
4What for
Only to run the game: your progress, your words, the leaderboards and protection against cheating. None of it is used for advertising, analysed or sold.
6Voice chat
Audio passes live through the server to the others in the room and is put down nowhere. Nothing is recorded. Your microphone is only used when you switch the voice channel on yourself.
7The Android app
The app shows the website in Chrome and collects nothing extra itself. Google Play may collect its own data when you download it; Google's privacy policy covers that.
8Where and how long
Everything lives in one database on our server in Indonesia, reached over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). A sign-in lasts 60 days. Your data stays for as long as your account exists.
9Deletion
You can delete your account yourself at any time: in the game under Profile → Delete account, or on the Delete account page. It is removed at once, with everything attached to it. Not anonymised, removed.
10Children
Wortknall is meant for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from younger children.
